Biographical research in educational sciences, using its methodology and methods, analyzes the processes of learning, education, formation and socialization to be able to justify on this basis the relationships between man and formation, and pedagogical action and reflection on the subject. The article presents the directions of historical development, from enlightenment, through the empirical turn to everyday life, to the strengthening of biographical research in the twentieth century, as well as contemporary research fields in educational sciences along with methodological and methodical concepts.
